High quality playback, tag teammates in comments, and more

Preview your video at higher resolution as you edit and tag teammates in comments to ensure they know you want their attention.

4.26.24

Today’s release introduces improved options for playback during editing, continued improvements to commenting, and a few small quality of life updates to make editing a bit smoother.

Here’s a run down of everything that’s new today:

  1. High quality playback. Improve playback quality while editing by toggling on a new view option.
  2. Tag and mention teammates in comments. Tag your teammates in comments to ensure they see your callout by typing “@” and selecting their name.
  3. Scene switching now in the project panel. To simplify controls for switching between Scenes, we’ve removed the Scene switching dropdown above the preview window.
  4. Easier to see transitions between clips. We’ve update the design for transitions on the timeline to make them easier to see at a glance.

High quality playback

To keep things snappy in Scenery, by default when you’re editing you’ll see proxies of your full resolution content in the playback and preview area — but sometimes its important to see things more clearly, so we introduced a new “Better Quality” option in the viewing options dropdown.

Tag and mention teammates in comments

Building on our recent string of improvements to commenting, we’ve added the ability to tag people in comments by typing “@” and selecting their name from your list of teammates. This will send them an email letting them know they were specifically mentioned and need to hop into Scenery to reply and address your feedback. Accountability!

Scene switching now in the project panel

There used to be multiple ways to switch Scenes, which was confusing and unreliable. We made things simpler by surfacing your different Scenes in the left hand project panel, where you can double click on a Scene to start editing it.

Easier to see transitions between clips

Last and perhaps least, we made a small update to the design of transitions so you can see them more easily on clips at a glance.
